Adrian S. Baer

Hi I am Adrian (“Ardie”) Baer. I have been an attorney for 40+ years. I began my career as an assistant city attorney and senior assistant city attorney in the City of Houston Legal Department and worked on a variety of transactional and litigation matters. After leaving the Legal Department, I worked for a small firm that specialized in real estate and commercial litigation and was promoted to partner in 1989. I decided that I wanted more big firm experience and joined a big law firm in Chicago. There I represented publicly held bondholders in workout and bankruptcy matters. In 1992, I returned to Houston to work for two well-known firms from 1992-1999 and worked in the bankruptcy and transactional practices. In 1999, I accepted a position with a big law firm to do exclusively bankruptcy work. After leaving big law in 2005, I worked for a small firm in the transactional, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy practices. I am still of counsel to that firm and have joined Roquemore Skierski as an of counsel attorney. I continue to practice real estate, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy.

When not working, I enjoy travel, gardening, working out, studying family history, music, and reading.

My educational background is as follows:

Vanderbilt University, cum laude. I spent my junior year at the University of Regensburg, Germany.

I am licensed as an attorney in Texas and before the US District and Bankruptcy Courts of the Southern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, and the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. I am also a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Texas Bar Association.

I am a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Houston, the oldest Jewish congregation in Texas.
